Inquisitor 3 for MacOS X Safari

Posted in Usability by Jeffrey Schrab on the October 30th, 2006

Inquisitor is a plugin for Safari that allows for autocomplete suggestions to Google searches.  The latest version of Firefox supports this feature too but Inquisitor just looks hot.  I use this at home don’t know what I would do without it.  Recommended.

Hello World! I’ve never seen anything like this….

vrway.com

A long time ago I found a site (didn’t enter it thru the home page however) which showed beautiful panoramic 360 degree views of the French Riviera. (See that page here: the riviera project)

Well, I decided to check out the home page of this site. While it’s not amazingly designed, what I saw was. Make sure to chose the interactive navigation. Expand your browser, grab your mouse and get ready for a journey. Hope you’re wowwed. Have fun.

By the way, while you’re there, you might as well check out the amazing views of amazing places, projects and events around the world.

Clean, simple, sweet. Nice navigation. Love it.
Then check out the shop. More sweetness.

Portland State University

Portland State University has a beautiful and modern new look and brand. The campus revealed its new logo with a new brand identity system on September 20, 2006. The new logo is being used in conjunction with new print and electronic resources, including a consistent graphic standard. (Yeah!) The marketing team compiled audits based on interviews with faculty, staff and students. There were 198 people invited to parcipate and attend sessions, and over 3,500 people answered an on-line survey over 19 days.

In addition, the website is quite nice. The site’s architecture is organized well and has navigation that is easy to use. Especially noteable is the Future Students and Current Students links on the home page. Nice and thoughtful resolve. The header image swaps out for each refresh and page. There are a few kinks to work out it seems, but overall, the site is clean and attractive and has a progressive personality.

Maybe I’m exaggerating, but holy crap, is this Adidas site cool. Make sure to click on each person and watch the sweeping view change. Also check out the way they handle 360-degree product detail shots. This is pretty sweet.

You put in the basic id / class structure and it spits out valid xhtml - the starting point of it.
The Markup Maker

I could see this being a big time saver in that initial setup phase. Cool cool.
